The Earth functions as a complex, interconnected web of ecosystems, from forests and oceans to deserts and grasslands. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Each of these ecosystems is composed of living organisms (plants, animals, microorganisms) and their physical environment (climate, geology, atmosphere, etc.).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

These ecosystems are interrelated and influence each other through the exchange of matter and energy.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Humans are a fundamental part of the Earth’s ecosystem. We are not separate from it but are deeply integrated into the global ecosystem. We rely on the planet for our survival, including resources like food, water, and air.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Our activities have profound effects on the Earth’s ecosystems. For example, deforestation, pollution, and habitat destruction can disrupt ecosystems and lead to biodiversity loss.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Humans also affect global climate change through the emission of greenhouse gases.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But humans also have the power to protect the earth\u2019s ecosystems and reverse climate change effects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In this short training course, we look at how the atmosphere is impacted by greenhouse gas emissions, the effects on our climate and how these effects can be reversed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
