Description
Fibre optic technology plays an increasingly important role in modern communications
and data networks.
Fibre optic cables are capable of transmitting large amounts of information over long
distances at high speeds, making them an essential part of many telecommunications,
commercial, industrial and data communication systems.
However, installing fibre optic cabling requires a high level of care and attention to detail.
Correct installation practices are essential to protect the fibre, maintain the performance
of the link and ensure that the completed installation is safe, reliable and compliant with
relevant requirements.
Course Aim
The aim of this course is to provide you with the knowledge and understanding of how
to install and test fibre optic cables in a safe manner, following best practices and
complying with relevant regulations.
Throughout the course, you will develop an understanding of the processes involved in
installing fibre optic cabling, from initial preparation and installation through to splicing,
