Cleanrooms are controlled environments used in manufacturing or scientific research where there are very low levels of dust, airborne particles and pollutants. Cleanrooms are classified by their level of airborne particles and their air change rates.

We must regularly prove that the clean room meets its design classification and that it is fit for use. The testing and confirmation of classification is called cleanroom validation.

The aim of this course is to examine the concept of validation, the principles of cleanroom validation and how it is applied in a cleanroom. We’ll explain the phases of cleanroom validation and how room air monitoring is carried out. We will also outline how environmental monitoring is carried out for a cleanroom.

On completion of this course you will be able to:

Understand the concept of cleanroom validation

  • Understand the regulatory requirements for cleanroom validation
  • Appreciate the different phases of validation
  • Understand the testing requirements for validation
  • Understand the purpose and process of cleanroom air monitoring
  • Understand the standards governing environmental monitoring of cleanrooms
  • Understand the sampling techniques used for environmental monitoring

Who is this course for?

This course is perfect for those who are new to the area of validation and how it affects a cleanroom. We’ll provide you with an excellent basis from which you can build your knowledge of and experience in the area of cleanroom validation.
