Downstream Bioprocessing

Introduction

The aim of this course is to provide the learner with an insight into the various stages of processing that occur after the completion of the fermentation or bioconversion.

On completion of this training course, you will be able to:

• Understand Downstream Bioprocessing.
• Examine how the biopharmaceutical product is recovered from the bioreactor, how it is separated form the nutrient media and other ingredient.
• Examine how the desired product is concentrated to improve its quality.
• examine how trace impurities are removed from the product and it is prepared for drug formulation.

This course is ideal for those that are new to the life science sector and who want to learn about Downstream Bioprocessing.

This course is also beneficial to those working in life sciences but looking to expand their knowledge into Downstream Bioprocessing.

On successful completion of this course all students will be awarded a Certificate of

every module and fully met all the requirements of the course.
To achieve this award all the assessment quizzes for each lesson must be passed. The pass grade for each quiz is 80%.You can retake lesson quizzes as often as you like.
